MyHealth info


  1. MyHealth connects you to your medical record at Student Health Service, allowing you to view your medical record and book medical appointments.

  2. For complete instructions on signing up for online access to your medical records, visit Booking an Appointment Online.

  3. Book medical appointments using the online appointment booking system: by specific doctor, by doctor's gender, by first available doctor; Receive instant notification on all new appointments by email; View your existing medical appointments; Cancel existing medical appointments; View lab reports; Update contact information. N.B. For your protection, you must appear in person with photo ID to Student Health Service to change your email address.

  4. The site is a secured site with 128-bit SSL encryption. To ensure your privacy, you must change your temporary password assigned by our clinic within 24 hours, or it will be deactivated. Your new password is confidential and known only to yourself. The clinic does not have access to this information. To prevent unauthorized use of your account and access to your personal information, log out when you are finished with MyHealth and do not share your password or user ID.

  5. If you forget your password, you will need to report in person to Student Health Service to be assigned a new temporary password.

  6. Yes! Under the Personal Information, heading there is an option called Change Password. Don't forget to save your new password.

  7. The appointment booking system allows you to book medical appointments, view existing appointments, and cancel appointments online.

  8. Student Health Service receives a heavy volume of calls on the main switchboard and appointment desk phone line. Online appointment booking provides a quick easy alternative to set up an appointment. There is no wait for the first available receptionist, and you can take your time in selecting your appointment and coordinating it with your other obligations.

  9. Many appointments can be booked online: Standard appointments (15 minutes) Sore throats, asthma, injuries, bladder infections, vaginal discharge, pregnancy testing, STDs, HIV/AIDS testing, birth control, etc.; Third-party medicals (30 minutes) Medical examinations for school, insurance, diving, drivers license, or employment; Routine Pap examinations (30 minutes) Cancer screening and health assessment. Please book mid-cycle (between periods). Do not book if having vaginal discharge - book a standard appointment instead. However, some appointments can only be booked in person: Minor surgery, Counselling, Appointments with our nursing staff: immunizations, allergy shots, dressing changes, Appointments with psychiatrists or other specialists

  10. Yes, you can only book one appointment per day with a maximum of three appointments into the future. We cannot provide appointments within one hour of your login time.

  11. If you have an emergency that you feel cannot wait until the next available appointment time, please phone the Student Health Services appointments desk at 604.822.7011, or visit SHS in person. We reserve a number of time slots throughout the day to serve patients in need of urgent attention. In the event that we are closed, please go to the Emergency Room at the UBC Hospital, located right next to Student Health Services.

  12. Many lab results can be viewed online. However, some test results require explanation and action, and your doctor may prefer to see you in person to discuss the results. Ask your doctor if you should return in person to get your results. If not, ask your doctor when your results will be available online. If they do not appear by that time, feel free to call the results line at 604.822.2070.

  13. Simply log onto MyHealth and view your personal contact information on file at Student Health Service. Click on Update Information, and enter any changes to your phone number or address. For your protection, however, you may not change your email address online; you will need to come in person with photo ID to Student Health Service and request the change.
