What to expect at customs
Going through customs
The Canadian government allows students to bring with them a reasonable quantity of clothing, books, and computer and other electronic items for personal use. Restrictions and limitations apply to the following items:
- Alcohol
- Tobacco
- Certain foods
- Agricultural products
You may bring your personal belongings into Canada duty-free. We recommend that you carry a list of all the items you are bringing to Canada, including the value and serial numbers of cameras, stereos, and computers.
