Getting to Vancouver
When you arrive at UBC, it is a good idea to plan to arrive on a weekday, between 9:00am and 3:00pm, as many University offices are closed Saturdays, Sundays, and public/university holidays. If you are arriving in December, you should be aware that most offices and services on campus are closed between Christmas (December 25) and New Year’s Day (January 1).
Online maps of UBC can be found at Wayfinding at UBC.
Flying to Vancouver
If you arrive at the Vancouver International Airport in late August, orientation volunteers will greet you at the airport. Once you pass through Immigration and Canada Customs, look for the gold and blue UBC banner and booth.
Taxis
If you want to take a taxi from the airport to UBC, there is 24-hour taxi service from the airport. The fare to UBC is between $30 and $35 Canadian dollars.
TransLink Canada Line
You can also take the Canada Line, a rapid-transit system that runs frequently from the airport to downtown Vancouver. The Canada Line does not go to UBC but it runs directly to downtown from the airport.
