Instructional Skills Programs for International Teaching Assistants (ITA)

This program introduces international graduate students to Canadian academic culture. You will learn:

  • Teaching and presentation skills
  • Gain a deeper understanding of Canadian culture
  • Develop skills that will help you succeed academically

Classes begin in September, January, and August. The fee is refundable.

Centre for Teaching and Academic Growth (TAG)

TAG offers free workshops on a variety of topics related to teaching and learning. Graduate students may find the following programs particularly valuable:

  • Instructional Skills Workshop (three days)
  • Presentation Skills Workshop (two days)
  • Graduate Student Certificate Program in Teaching in Higher Education
