Campus-Wide Login (CWL)

Your CWL account allows you to sign on to a number of campus services, including the SSC and UBC wireless, all using a single user name and password. Sign up for your free CWL login ID or get more information at the UBC Information Technology website. If you need help creating a CWL account, contact Information Technology Internet Accounts at 604.822.2441.

UBC email

All students can register for a free UBC email account at the UBC Information Technology website.

Wireless access

If you have a personal digital assistant (PDA), Smartphone, or laptop computer with wireless access, you can sign on to UBC's wireless network with your CWL account. There is no charge for this service.

Help Desk

The IT Service Centre Help Desk provides support for UBC Email, CWL, WebCT (student support), ResNet, Internet access ports, anti-virus installation, Virtual Private Networking (VPN), web browser configuration, and UBC wireless Internet. e-Learning

At UBC, over 33,000 students and instructors use an e-Learning system, which can be a combination of traditional classroom and web-based learning, or fully web-based. e-Learning provides a virtual environment for class material, media, quizzes, discussion forums, and other tools. Computer facilities

Computers in the Koerner Library and the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre are equipped with the Microsoft Office Suite. Public access terminals are also available in the SUB. Most faculties and schools also have computer labs with word processing software. To find your faculty's computer lab, visit the Learning Commons website.

myUBC

myUBC is a one-stop shop for students, faculty, and staff to access personalized resources online. The website provides links to your UBC email account, your e-Learning course material on WebCT, as well as campus information, news, events, and even classified ads.
