Eligibility
Below is a list of general requirements to participate in an International Service Learning (ISL) program.
To participate in an International Service Learning program, you must:
- Be a student in good standing
- Be eligible for a visa to the country where the program will take place
- Be 18 years of age or older at the time of your international placement (students under 18 will require parental consent to participate in our programs)
- Have completed at least one term of study at UBC prior to your departure
- Be available for and committed to the entirety of the program including learning sessions taking place before, during, and after your international placement
- Priority will be given to students who are returning to UBC for at least one term of study after their placement
