Trek Excellence Scholarship
Trek Excellence Scholarships are offered to students in the top 5% of each year in each undergraduate faculty or school. Domestic students receive an award of $1,500 and international students receive an award of $4,000. There are also awards of $1,000 given to international students in the top 5% to 10% of their year in their faculty or school.
Am I eligible?
Trek Excellence Scholarship eligibility is evaluated based on grades and records from the previous year. Students must have registered in at least 27 percentage-graded credits and need to be continuing in the same faculty or school.
Averages will be based on the best 27 percentage-graded credits (failed courses, audited courses, wait-listed courses, summer courses, and courses taken in Credit/D/Fail format do not count).
Students on co-op and exchange need to take additional steps in order to qualify.
Students who are enrolled in a post-baccalaureate professional degree program such as Medicine, Dentistry, Law, and Education (except NITEP) are not eligible. Students registered in these degrees, however, do qualify for substantial faculty-recommended scholarships.
How do I apply?
There is no application required for Trek Excellence Scholarships. Students will be automatically considered based on grades for the prior session. Notification starts in mid-July and continues into September.
For minimum scholarship course load requirements, please see the UBC Senate Regulations.
