Premier Undergraduate & Wesbrook Scholarships
The Premier Undergraduate Scholarships and Wesbrook Scholars are the University's most prestigious designations, given to senior students with outstanding academic performance, leadership, and involvement in student and community activities.
Awards range from 20 Wesbrook Scholar designations worth $1,000 each to renewable scholarships worth $20,000 over two years.
The following awards are included in the 2011/12 competition:

| Thelma Sharp Cook Scholarship | 1419 | One $5,500 scholarship |
| Harry Logan Memorial Scholarship and Harold B. & Nellie Boyes Memorial Scholarship | 574 & 674 | Two scholarships ($1,150 and $2,050) that are awarded together, totalling $3,200 |
| HSBC Emerging Leader Scholarship | 1404 | Two $5,000 scholarships |
| Amy E. Sauder Scholarship and Jean Craig Smith Scholarship | 595 & 531 | Two scholarships ($1,500 and $700) that are awarded together, totalling $2,200 |
| Wesbrook Scholar | 657 | Twenty $1,000 scholarships and the Wesbrook Scholar designation. |
| Martha C. Piper Arts Award in Global Citizenship | 1353 | One $275 award to an Arts student eligible under the Wesbrook Scholar criteria. |
Am I eligible?
To be considered for the Premier Undergraduate and Wesbrook Scholarships, you must be enrolled in the second last or last year of an undergraduate program (or any year of M.D. or D.M.D. programs) and meet the following criteria:
- full-time enrolment in the prior academic session (minimum of 27 percentage-graded credits)
- top academic rank (10%) in your year and faculty
- demonstrated ability to work with and lead others
- participation in student and community activities
Further criteria for Premier Undergraduate Scholarships can include:
- full-time attendance at UBC for at least two full previous winter sessions
- nomination by the AMS or GSS as well as your faculty or school
- demonstrated interest or participation in sports
- enrollment in first year of graduate studies

Deadline Date for 2010/11
Completed packages must be received by Student Financial Assistance and Awards by 4:00 PM, Friday, October 21st, 2011.
However, please note, that your faculty or school may have their own deadline date, which will be earlier than October 21st, 2011.
How do I apply?
To apply, you must to be nominated by your academic faculty or school or a designated student organization.
Complete instructions are included on the application. Your applications and required supporting material such as letters of reference, a statement of activities, and a personal statement must be received by Student Financial Assistance & Awards by the deadline.
Applicants are notified of their status by early December.
