Freedom of information and protection of privacy
In accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, UBC staff cannot discuss a student’s status, including registration and awards information, with any person other than the student, without the student’s consent. Parents are welcome to contact our office for general information pertaining to awards and student financial support.
Students can give permission to a third party to access their information. To do so, they must follow these steps:
- Log on to the Student Service Centre.
- Go to the "Personal Info" tab.
- Fill in Third Party Authorization information.
