Policy & information

What is the Credit/D/Fail policy?

The Credit/D/Fail Policy allows students in participating direct-entry undergraduate programs of study to take eligible elective courses for Credit, D, or Fail standing instead of percentage grades.

Program permission is subject to change

Please log in to the course schedule and check your program permission for the most up-to-date information.

Students will complete normal course work and earn a percentage grade, but only a standing of "Cr," "D," or "F" will be displayed on their grades record and academic transcript.

Students can take a maximum of six credits of Credit/D/Fail graded courses per session and up to a maximum of twelve credits of Credit/D/Fail graded courses towards their degree.

Read the following Credit/D/Fail policy document for complete information.

Which programs do not allow students to take courses for Credit/D/Fail?
