Winter Session 2012/13
Add, drop, or switch courses
You may add, drop, or switch courses on the Student Service Centre (SSC) without receiving a W standing on your record (transcript) until the dates below.

| September 21, 2012 | Most two-term courses (term 1 & 2) and Distance Education term B courses: refer to the Course Schedule for details on withdrawal date information specific to each course. |
| January 14, 2013 | Most term 2 courses and Distance Education term C courses: refer to the Course Schedule for details on withdrawal date information specific to each course. |
| January 18, 2013 | Most Distance Education term D courses: refer to the Course Schedule for details on withdrawal date information specific to each course. |
Note
- After the above dates, you will still be able to drop your course on the SSC, but you will receive a W (withdrawal) standing on your transcript for that course.
- You will not be permitted to switch between Credit/D/Fail and percentage grading after the dates above. Check Switching between Credit/D/Fail and percentage grading for more information.
- If you want to add a course after the dates above, you will require permission. Complete the Change of Registration (Add/Drop) Form (386KB PDF) and return it to the Information Centre in Brock Hall.
- If you drop a course after the start of term, you may be responsible for some or all of the course fees. View the withdrawal fee information for Summer Session refunds and Winter Session refunds for more information.
Withdrawal with a W standing
You may withdraw from registered courses on the SSC any time up to the dates below. Withdrawals will be noted with a W standing on your record (transcript). W standings will not be included in averages.

Note
- To make changes to your registration after the dates above, you will require permission. Complete the Change of Registration (Add/Drop) Form (386KB PDF) and return it to the Information Centre in Brock Hall.

Course change dates vary in the Summer Session depending on start and end date and the length of the course. Consult the 2012 Summer Session course schedule for individual course information. For further information, consult the Academic Year in the Calendar.
