Eligibility
You can apply for a Chapman & Innovation Grant if you meet the following requirements:
- You are a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student;
- During the 2010/11 or 2011/12 academic year, you completed or were in the process of completing a community-based experiential learning opportunity;
- You are a UBC student in good standing (e.g., academic and non-academic standing);
- Your community-based experiential learning opportunity falls into one of the following areas:
- Course-based Community Service Learning (CSL)
- Course-based Community-Based Research (CBR)
- Ongoing weekly Trek Program placements
- Reading Week projects carried out in East Vancouver and the Downtown Eastside
- Let's Talk Science: SMaRT and Mentorship Program
- Athletics Programs: I’m Going to UBC and Little T-Birds After School Program
- Math Initiatives: TOTEM and Fun with Figures
Mandatory workshop
If UBC-CLI shortlists your project idea and you wish to develop it into a project proposal, you must be able to attend a mandatory workshop on March 8, 5:00–8:00 pm, in the Centre for Student Involvement.
