Project idea
Describe the project idea by considering the following questions, which reflect our evaluation criteria. Note that any project idea exceeding two pages will be disqualified.
- What is the project idea?
- What are the goals and objectives of the project?
- How will you and your community partner work together to co-develop and implement the project?
- What strengths and assets will you and your community partner each contribute to the project? For more information on an asset-based community development approach, read What are Asset-based Approaches to Community Development? (829KB PDF).
- How will the project benefit the community?
- How do you anticipate your project being sustainable? Think about how you envision your project continuing after the summer without your involvement. Could your project be replicated? Could it be a catalyst for future community-driven development?
- What is the approximate budget required to complete the project? Think about how much will be needed for project expenses and how much for a student honorarium.
- Can your project realistically be completed between the May and August 2012?
