Release prior to optimization: Tier 1 System access to the 2012/13 Winter Session begins. Timetable Reps can make scheduling adjustments in accordance with the Academic Course Scheduling Guidelines. Users have Tier 1 access for scheduling. New Optimizer Consideration Forms will be accepted via email at schedulingservices@students.ubc.ca up until February 3 at 4:00 pm. Optimizer Consideration Forms Optimizer Consideration Forms are reviewed. Approved forms from Winter Session 2011/12 have been retained and will be reviewed again for the Winter Session 2012/13. This ensures that reasonable adherence to the Academic Course Scheduling Guidelines is maintained. Approvals and denials will be entered into Astra and will reflect what the form was submitted for. This data can be found on Astra under the Detail button in the "Consideration Form" field (lower right-hand side). Please keep in mind that only consideration forms for Access & Diversity issues and specialized equipment essential for safety purposes (e.g., fume hoods) will be considered. Release session: Tier 2 Release of 2012/13 Winter Session schedule. Users now have Tier 2 access to schedule courses in all available non-restricted rooms. Sections not assigned a room during the optimization process may require adjustments by the Timetable Reps in order to find an available space. |

Requests for irregularly scheduled section bookings should be submitted to Scheduling Services by May 1. Those received after May 1 will not receive priority booking status.
