Centre for Feminist Legal Studies
It offers meeting space, resources, and networking opportunities to scholars and students at UBC. It attracts graduate students and visiting scholars, and it obtains funding support for activities related to feminism and law.
Centre for Women's and Gender Studies
A wide network of faculty and research associates who are engaged in feminist projects both on campus and in the larger community.
Feminist Legal Studies
The UBC Faculty of Law is internationally renowned for its research, scholarship, and teaching in feminist legal studies. The history of feminist legal studies at UBC began in the 1970s, with the first "Women and the Law" dinner, now an annual event.

Child care

BC Aboriginal Child Care Society
This is a non-profit charitable society serving Aboriginal early childhood programs throughout British Columbia.
UBC Child Care Services
Provides child care services to families involved in UBC.
Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre
Supports the healthy development of children, families, and their communities by providing child development and child care information, referrals, training, and resources for parents, caregivers, and those who provide services to children and families.

Health, safety, and supportive spaces

AMS Advocacy Office
Free representation, guidance, and assistance to students requiring advocacy at UBC.
AMS Safety Coordinator
Advocates for a safe campus at UBC. Programs offered include self-defence classes and a Safety Theatre that raises awareness about safety on campus. Email us at safety@ams.ubc.ca.
AMS Womyn's Centre
A safe space where women organize against sexism and intersecting oppressions. The Womyn's Centre houses a library and organizes events.
Equity Office
Assists anyone experiencing discrimination or harassment on campus. The office also offers training on human rights and diversity.
Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC)
SASC provides survivors of sexual assault (female, male, and trans, as well as their friends, family members, and partners) with emotional, medical, and legal support, and resources. Our services are free and confidential.
Single Parents on Campus (SPOC)
SPOC aims to recognize the diverse experiences of single parents attending UBC. Building on single parenting as a basis of unity, we seek to raise awareness and create an open space to dialogue and to share ideas, resources, networking efforts, and lobbying efforts both on campus and within the greater Vancouver community. UBC Counselling Services
Provides a wide range of counselling services for UBC students, as well as consultation and referral for UBC faculty and staff. Services are provided by psychologists, professional counsellors, pre-doctoral interns, and masters-level counsellor trainees.

University women's groups

Canadian Federation of Students (CFS) – British Columbia
The CFS recognizes that for students to be truly effective in representing their collective interests to the federal and provincial governments, it is vital to unite.
Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW)
The CFUW is a voluntary, non-profit, self-funded bilingual organization of over 10,000 women university graduates. CFUW members are active in public affairs, working to raise the social, economic, and legal status of women.
Status of Women Committee (SWC), The University of British Columbia Faculty Association
SWC identifies inequities in salaries, tenure, promotion, and other benefits, and other matters affecting the status of female members. SWC promotes public debate on issues concerning the status of women at UBC. Pension top-ups have been a recent focus.
