Get involved
At UBC, there are many opportunities for people of all genders to get involved in the effort to end inequality. If you feel inspired to make a difference on campus, the opportunities below may interest you.
- AMS Safewalk
- Safewalk is a free, student-run foot patrol service. Two-person co-ed teams accompany people anywhere on campus to make sure they get there safely.

You'll be trained to assist students in dealing with a wide range of issues, including relationship break-ups, substance abuse, sexuality, and exam stress.
- AMS Womyn's Centre
- This is a safe space where women organize against sexism and intersecting oppressions. The Womyn's Centre houses a library and organizes events.
- Antigone Magazine and WILLA
- Interested in women and politics? Join WILLA and lend a hand in the production of Antigone Magazine, a non-profit, non-partisan magazine about women and politics that started at UBC.
